Serological Studies on A and B Variants in ABO Blood Group among Koreans.

Abstract
|
|
|
Following conclusion was teen made from the survey of the ABO blood group variant
on 91309 donor blood.
1. Through serological study, two cased Ax and An of A variant were observed
among ABO blood group (The frequency was 0.007 %).
2. Four cases of B variant one of Bx and three of B%
wore observed among B group(0.016%).
3. Three cases of ABm were observed in the cases of AB group
(0.03%).
4. The B variant frequency (0. 0275) was much higher than the A variant
frequency(0.004%). According to this stuffy, the frequency of ABO variants in Korea
deserve some special attention in immunohematologic field.
